Live and Learn at Mangaroa Farms

Worldschooling in New Zealand

Earth School Aotearoa offers an immersive worldschooling experience in New Zealand for families seeking friendship, belonging, and cultural grounding while spending time in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Based at Mangaroa Farms, this pathway is designed for families staying for one or more months. Rather than short-term activities or itinerant programs, this experience offers continuity, rhythm, and the chance to settle into place.

Living at Mangaroa Farms

Worldschooling families stay in beautiful, thoughtfully designed homes surrounded by gardens, bush, walking tracks, and regenerative farmland. Daily life is shaped by seasonal rhythms and access to fresh, organic food grown on the land. Participation in learning and shared activities is invitational and flexible, allowing families to find a rhythm that suits their needs during their stay.

Learning at Earth School

Children from worldschooling families are welcomed into Earth School’s weekly learning days alongside local children. Learning unfolds through outdoor exploration, nature-based inquiry, creative practice, story, pūrākau, music, shared meals, and movement.

Foundational skills such as literacy, numeracy, and scientific thinking are supported naturally through integrated, real-world learning.

A Wider Learning & Wellbeing Ecosystem

Mangaroa Farms also hosts a small-scale calendar of workshops, talks, seasonal gatherings, and wellbeing experiences for adults and families. These offerings allow families to continue learning together without the need for constant travel or logistics.

For many parents, this time is deeply nourishing - a rare opportunity to rest, integrate, and learn alongside their children.
