Earth School Aotearoa
Earth School Aotearoa is a place-based learning community at Mangaroa Farms, Upper Hutt. Through children’s weekly programmes, worldschooling stays and practical land-based courses for young people and adults, we connect learning with the living world. Our approach grows from curiosity, relationship and meaningful participation: discovering how to care for ourselves, each other and the places that sustain us.
An immersive worldschooling experience for families staying for a season. Enjoy beautiful homes, regenerative food, open landscapes, and children welcomed into Earth School’s weekly learning days alongside local children, with optional opportunities to connect through seasonal gatherings and workshops at Mangaroa Farms.
Worldschooling
Term-based, one-day-per-week learning programs for local Wellington families. Ideal for children 5-12 years old, our one-day programmes are grounded in nature, creativity, and real-world exploration. Regular learnings days run Monday-Friday. Choose one or multiple to attend.
One Day Programs
Our on-farm courses offer young people and adults the opportunity to develop practical skills through hands-on learning on the farm, in the nursery, permaculture orchard, and market garden. Select from recognised qualification pathways and other learning opportunities.
Land-based Courses
